Mannequin

Thinking of a design that inspires me, Gareth Pugh is the first thing that pops up in my head. Remember seeing his 2007 Spring Ready-to-Wear collection, I was totally admired. There were two special designs that stuck in my mind. First off, models were fully covered with black shiny textile which made their body and face a more 3D geometrical protrusions. Gareth Pugh's design are mysterious and nonsensically shaped, but at the same time; they look surprisely high fashion and stylistic. His designs are simple, but tricky. The checkerboard greatcoat is ordinary, but the way it comes along with a very high shoulder pad and linked with the hood brings viewer a uncanny mood to the design. The little gold chain at the waist interested the whole design by adding another focus point with it's color and shape. The girly black leather high heel shoe also gives us a very different feeling to the whole mysterious design.

The other model is wearing a black dress that made with permanent holes on it .The permanent of the dress emphasized the beauty of human body and lines. The focus of this design is the triangular shaped should and arm. They gives a very egdy and powerful feeling to the simple dress, the triangular satin pattern on it also give a sense of details. The way the model is wearing a black mask gives the mysterious feeling to the whole design as well. The gold hair band also add a little color to the black which reduce the doleful feeling of the whole.
